Clara Jane Lobpries, 91 of Garwood, passed away on June 23, 2014. She was born on February 22, 1923 in Nada, Texas to Frank Sr. and Emilia Bubela Kasmiersky. Clara retired from Rice Consolidated School District.

She is survived by her sons Howard Lynn Lobpries and wife Julie of Crockett, Greg Lobpries and wife Becky of Garwood; daughters Brenda Wendel and husband Tom of Potomac, Maryland, Beverly Kotrla and husband Johnnie of Katy; grandchildren Stephanie Hedlund, Vance Kotrla, Courtney Gholson, Clint Lobpries, Jacque Davidson, Ross Lobpries, Kristyna Lobpries; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Leona Swoboda and husband Bill, Mary Hoffman and husband Meth, Ernestine Schneider and husband Ed Lee, Janie Mae Popp and husband Gus; brothers Frank Kasmiersky Jr. and wife Anna Lou and Raymond Kasmiersky and wife Margaret.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents; husband Howard Frank Lobpries; sisters Annie Socha, Julia Ann Zbranek; and great-grandson Matthew Davidson.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 7 pm until 8:30 pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Nada, with a Rosary led by the Catholic Daughters and Christian Mothers at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 4 pm on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Vrana officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Darby Hoffman, Gary Zbranek, Billy Zbranek, Kirk Engstrom, Truman Engstrom and Bryan Popp. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren.
