Edward Joseph Patik, 74, of El Campo passed away on July22, 2014. He was born on January 6, 1940 in El Campo to the late Joseph Edward and Annie Livanec Patik. Edward was a manager at J & D Bottle Shop. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of American Legion Post 251.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years Gloria Rooker Patik of El Campo, daughter Dawn Dornak and husband Joe Ray, granddaughter Jordan Dornak all of El Campo, and sister Delores Quarles of Edna. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother in law Dennis Quarles.

Visitation will begin on Thursday July 24, 2014 at 12 pm at Triska Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday July 25, 2014 at 10 am at St. Philips Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Rother officiating. Burial with military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post 251 will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Chad Morris, A.C. Rooker III, Cole Slaughter, Keith Parker, Jon-Mike Kowall, and Billy Vaclavik. Honorary pallbearers are T.K. Treme, Daniel Ott, Larry Morris, Donald Beal, and A.C. Rooker Jr.

Memorial donations in memory of Edward Patik may be made to M. D. Anderson Cancer Center or St. Philips Catholic Church. Condolences for the family may be left online at www.triskafuneralhome.com
