George Resendez, 63 of Pearland formerly of El Campo, passed away on May 3, 2014. He was born on May 25, 1950 in El Campo to the late Siprian Resendaz and Lydia Escamilla Resendez Gonzales. He was employed as a oilfield maintenance supervisor. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by his wife Julissa Resendez, children Diana Lopez, Vicky Perez, Cyndii Rodriguez, George Mata, Marcus Resendez, Sally Perez, Melissa Resendez, Jesteri Rios, Emily Rios and Brailey Resendez, siblings Mike (Siprian) Resendez, Sesario Resendez, Josephine Rodriguez, Gloria Mejias, Annie Resendez, Robert Resendez, Luciano Resendez, Susie Woods, Mario Grego and Max Gonzalez, Jr., 27 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday at Triska Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Triska Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Garcia officiating. Burial with Military Honors under the auspices of American Legion Post 251 and escort by the Prairie Switch Riders will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Eric Lopez, Adam Lopez, George Mata, Jr., Vincent Perez, Jr., Felix Rodriguez, Jr., Jimmy Perez, Jr., Daniel Perez and Andres Moreno, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Christian Mata, Bryan Perez and Michael Morales.
