Jerry Raymond Kresta, 77 of El Campo passed away on March 10, 2014. He was born on December 29, 1936 in Moulton, TX to the late Charles, Jr. and Hattie Koudelka Kresta. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in Korea in 1963-1964. He was member of the American Legion Post 251. He was employed with Kaspar Wire Works in Shiner for 24 years, El Campo Aluminum for 24 years, and Sutherlands for 7 years.
He is survived by his wife Deloris Wuensch Kresta of El Campo; daughter Dani Kulcak and husband David of El Campo; son Jerry "Skipper" Kresta, Jr and wife Susan of El Campo; 3 grandchildren Wesley Kulcak, Clay Kresta, and Kendall Kresta; sister Lillian Wilder of Oakland, CA; sister-in-law Betty Kresta of Yoakum; brother-in-law Ray Hancock of El Campo; 4 nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Jimmy Kresta and sister Evelyn Hancock.
The Family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7 PM at Triska Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 3:30 PM at Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. Jake Fain officiating.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Jerry to Christ Lutheran Church or Donor's Choice.
