Karen Marie Dzierzanowski passed away January 4, 2014. She was born on July 17, 1952 at Eriksdale, Manitoba, Canada.
Karen was a nurse's aide then a LVN. She worked 25 years under the Grey Nuns in Canada. Finally in 1993 she graduated as a Registered Nurse. She was recruited to El Campo Memorial Hospital on January 6, 1994, worked ICU and the ER. Other work places were weekend supervisor at Garden Villa Nursing Home, night supervisor at Jackson County Hospital, weekend supervisor at Edna Care Home, DON and administrator of IPH Home Health in El Campo. Her nursing career spanned a total of 37 years.
She is survived by her loving husband Louis Dzierzanowski, daughters Jenny Percy (Ken) of Alberta, Canada, Robyn Zeitler (Dave) of Austin, step-son David Dzierzanowski of El Campo, grandchildren Megan and Jacob Percy, Thomas "TJ" Zeitler, residing in Canada, sisters Colleen (Michael) Giroux, Elaine Garcia (Jim Bennett), brothers Lyle Wiebe (Jennifer), Barry Wiebe (Michelle), and Bill Wiebe (Sue), twenty-one nieces and nephews and many cousins, great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents Wallace and Mabel Ogilvie Wiebe, infant son Kenneth Naugler, nephew Justin Scott, sister Patricia Hayes, brother Wally Wiebe, and two infant brothers.
Visitation will begin 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Triska Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. Jake Fain officiating. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, at West Gethsemane Cemetery in Rosenberg.
Memorials may be sent to the Christ Lutheran Church of El Campo.
