Marjorie "Margie" Ann Bunge Carter, of El Campo, Texas, passed away on January 31, 2014. She was born on June 6, 1933 in Pierce, Texas to William and Klara Kubela Bunge. A graduate of the University of Texas, she earned a Masters Degree from the University of Houston. Margie was a dedicated and respected educator, having taught in El Campo, Austin, College Station and Clear Lake City for over 30 years. She was lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church. Margie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Her family was her life and her number one priority.

Margie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Roger K. Carter; daughter Klare Glendinning and husband David of Plano; granddaughters Gracie Glendinning, namesake Marjorie "Molly" Glendinning, and Mattie Glendinning, all of Plano; sister-in-law Linda Fox of El Campo; niece Patricia Hansen and nephews William Carl "Bill" Hansen and wife Audrey, and Carl "Mike" Hansen III all of Tin Top; nephews Tom Fox and wife Shannan of Rome, Georgia, and Craig Fox and wife Kim of Eustis, Florida; as well as numerous grand-nieces and nephews; and longtime friends " Les Girls".

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Doris Bunge Hansen and Carl M. Hansen Jr., and brother-in-law John Fox.
The family will be receiving visitors Friday, February 7, from 6-8 PM at the family home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church of El Campo with the Reverend Chuck Kimball officiating.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Margie's caregiver Kathy Young.
