MaryLou Ursula McDonald Thane, 80 of El Campo, passed away on March 15, 2014. She was born on March 21, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late William and Gertrude Morgan McDonald. She was a retired LVN and had been employed by El Campo Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by her sons Thomas Thane and wife Geraldine of Boca Chica, Michael Thane and wife Brenda of El Campo, Richard Thane and wife Gabriela of Lindale, John Thane and wife Libby of Southlake, grandchildren Carrie Cleveland, Josh Thane, Mikey Thane, Mitchell Thane, Leslie Thane, Matthew Thane, Heather Thane, Kandis Thane, Hannah Soulé, Alisa Thane, Natalie Thane, Daniel Thane and Jacob Thane, and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin Thane, son Douglas Thane, grandson Clinton Thane, and brothers Billy and Jack McDonald.

Visitation will begin at 1 pm on Tuesday with the family receiving visitors from 5 pm until 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Donna Zipp officiating. Burial will follow at the Swedish Lutheran Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Thomas, Michael, Richard, John, Josh and Daniel Thane.
