Victor Joseph Dybala, 78 of El Campo, passed away on April 12, 2014. He was born on April 9, 1936 in Taiton to the late Vinc and Albina Jurak Dybala. Victor started farming at the age of 12 and continued for 66 years. He had also been employed by May Aluminum for 13 years in the foundry and was a lathe operator. Victor was a member of KC Council 2490, St. Isidore, served on the board of Farmers Co-op, and sang with the St. Philip Church Choir for 35 years.

Victor enjoyed spending time at his pond, watching movies, going to the beach, road trips, and taking his grandchildren to see the cows and count the calves.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Patricia Holub Dybala of El Campo, daughters Lisa Wright and husband Jason of Frisco, TX, Tamara Holzhausen and husband Brooks of San Antonio, TX, sons Darren Dybala of Aspen, CO, Jared Dybala and wife Heather of Frisco, TX, grandchildren Megan Leigh Wright, Faith Marie and Ava Grace Holzhausen, sisters Margaret Ledbetter of West Frankfort, IL, Leona Korenek of Nada, Eleanor Spacek of Boling, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Rose Massey and Albina Ondrias, brothers Robert and Jimmy Dybala.

Visitation will begin at 2 pm on Tuesday at Triska Funeral Home. Parish wake service and KC Rosary will be at 7 pm on Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Rother officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Jason Wright, Brooks Holzhausen, Kenneth Mican, Paul Korenek, Doug Ondrias, Eric Schoenfield, Mark Bures and Randy Mach.

Memorial donations in memory of Victor may be made to the St. Philip Church Building Fund or the American Heart Association.
