On the evening of October 13, 2013, James "Jimmy" Johnson passed away due to a very tragic death. He was born on September 1, 1957 in Lumberton, Mississippi to A.R. and Nettie Marie Johnson and lived in Ganado at the time of his passing. Jimmy worked for Reef Chemical Corp. out of Oklahoma for 27 years. He was also a professional bass fisherman sponsored by Waterloo Rods, Pay Dirt Tackle, Jo Baby Spinnerbaits and Skeeter Yamaha. He was a 17 year member of B.A.S.S..

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 37 years Mona Johnson of Ganado, father A.R. Johnson of Garwood brother Alton Ray Johnson of Ganado, niece Fallon Lee Hartfield of Purvis, Mississippi, his 6 kids {dashunds} Jesse, Boo-Boo, Jay, Jake, Jasper, and Joe-Joe. Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother Nettie Marie Johnson. He also had many other family members and friends that loved him very much. He will be truly missed.

Visitation will begin on Friday October 18 at 2 pm at Triska Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 pm to 7 pm at the funeral home. Services will be held on Saturday October 19 at 10 am at Triska Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Dubroc officiating. Burial will follow at Leher cemetery in Garwood. A lunch will be served after the burial at the K.J.T hall in Ganado.

Pallbearers are Craig Crim, Larry Nors, Derek Kuyrkendall, Rick Shock, Bruce White and Brian Kortz. Honorary pallbearers are Pete "Pistol" Richter, Austin Parrott, and Ace Galindo.

Memorial donations in memory of Jimmy may be made to Wounded Warriors Weekend or C.A.S.T. for Kids.
